Eco-Friendly Materials
One of the first steps towards reducing your prints impact on the environment is to consider the usage of recycled or recyclable materials. We have a range of recycled and recyclable materials that offer a suitable replacement to our normal go-to materials with very little price difference.
Our range of new recycled and recyclable materials have been designed to be used in the print and signage industry with no compromise on quality and in may cases our environmentally friendly alternative materials are lighter, stronger with increased flexibility and reduced brittleness.
Recycled materials are materials that were previously used and processed to be used again. Rather than the original materials being sent directly to landfill they are collected and re-processed into new products to be re-used. This reduces the impact the materials have on the environment as re-using materials reduces the stress on natural resources and reduces pollution by reducing the need to collect new raw materials.
Recyclable materials reduce the amount of waste being sent to landfills and incinerators by being processed and repurposed into new products such as detergent bottles, traffic cones and water bottles.
Examples of our range of environmentally friendly materials include;
#1 Polyline Foam ( PVC Foam Board Alternative )
An excellent alternative to foam boards such as Foamex. This high impact, scratch resistant material is perfect for retail and pos with increased resistance to wear and tear. Polyline Foam is stronger, less brittle and more rigid than PVC Foam Board becoming more versatile and suitable for a wider range of applications.
Polyline Foam is 100% Recyclable through Polypropylene recycling channels.
#2 Cygnus Excellent ( Plastics & Acrylic )
A beautifully smooth white board material available in multiple thicknesses upto 4000micron at 1220 x 2440mm. This market leading display board is ideal for retail signage and POS applications with a smooth surface and white-centre. Cygnus Excellent is an ideal recyclable alternative to plastics.
Cygnus Excellent is FSC Certified & will be FR Rated from September.
#3 Cygnus Eco Board ( Plastics & Acrylic – Waterproof )
Manufactured in the heart of Sweden, Cygnus Eco Board is the worlds leading environmentally friendly, 100% fibre-based board. Water and moisture resistant it is perfect for temporary outdoor signage and packaging.
Cygnus Eco Board is an ideal alternative to soft foam boards Forrex, Foamex, Correx, plastic composites and even aluminium composite!
Cygnus Eco Board is FSC Certified and a perfect fibre-based alternative to plastic.
#4 DISPA ( PVC Foamex / Correx )
DISPA delivers everything you would expect from a sign and display board – flat, smooth surface with excellent printability, rigidity and stability. This unique design uses 100% paper and fully recyclable.
Made from 5 layers of paper, DISPA is easily recycled and uses 100% FSC Recycled Paper.
#5 Polyline Bubble ( PVC Foamed Board )
Excellent alternative to PVC Foamex board and ideal for displays, signage and exhibition works. 100% Recyclable via Polypropylene recycling channels this board material is UV treated for extended exterior usage with a white or black core.
Providing improved weight density compared to traditional materials Polyline Bubble is lighter and harder with increased rigidity and durability.
